Plane crashes in football

  4. The Chapecoense tragedy (2016): On 28 November 2016, a LaMia Airlines plane with the team of Brazilian club Chapecoense on board crashed in Colombia. Seventy-one people died, including many players and club members. This tragedy received worldwide attention and deeply affected the football community.
